Job Description

Role Overview

The 50|50 Staff Supervisor is responsible for leading, developing, and supporting MLSE's part-time 50|50 event staff to deliver an exceptional fan experience while maximizing revenue. This role oversees staffing, scheduling, coaching, and performance management for 50|50 Ambassadors and Team Leads, fostering a positive, high-performing culture across all events. The 50|50 Staff Supervisor maintains a strong on-site presence, ensuring staff are engaged, well-trained, and equipped to execute at the highest level while proactively identifying staffing needs and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the cultural leader for the 50|50 program, setting the tone for a high-energy, positive, and accountable team environment while maintaining a strong and visible presence at events.
  • Lead 50|50 Ambassador performance management by providing individualized coaching, delivering regular training sessions, and creating development plans that improve sales performance, fan engagement, and customer service.
  • Own workforce planning by assessing roster capacity, identifying hiring needs, and making recommendations regarding recruitment to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Partner with the 50|50 Operations Supervisor to ensure staffing plans align with event requirements and operational priorities, supporting optimal coverage across all events.
  • Co-supervise the 50|50 Team Leads alongside the 50|50 Operations Supervisor, ensuring staff are engaged, supported, and consistently executing to program standards.
  • Plan and lead team-building initiatives and recognition programs that strengthen collaboration, reinforce MLSE's values, and foster an inclusive, motivated workplace.

Qualifications

  • Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising frontline teams.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage staffing across a high-volume event calendar.
  • Proven ability to motivate teams and create an engaging, performance-driven culture.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence delivering feedback and resolving employee concerns professionally.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, live event environment while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Experience in sales, customer service, event operations, or sports and entertainment is considered an asset.
  • Comfortable analyzing individual and team performance to identify coaching opportunities and improve results.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support live events.

  • Consistent event execution supported by a well-trained and appropriately staffed team, with proactive identification of hiring needs and performance opportunities.
  • Visible and effective leadership on-site, creating an environment where 50|50 Ambassadors are energized, confident, and equipped to maximize fan engagement and revenue.
  • Successful onboarding, training, and retention of part-time staff, building a reliable roster of ambassadors who represent MLSE’s values and community impact.
  • Strong partnership with the 50|50 Operations Supervisor, ensuring alignment between people, culture, and operational requirements across all events.

Job Posting Compensation Range/Rate:

$28/hr
