Overview

The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation hosts a 50/50 Raffle during every Penguins home game, with proceeds benefiting Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation programs and local 501(c)(3) charities.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are seeking personable, energetic, and reliable individuals to join the 50/50 Raffle team. Sellers will engage with fans throughout Penguins home games, sell raffle tickets, process credit card transactions, and represent the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation in a positive and professional manner.

This is a high-energy, customer-facing gameday position that requires strong communication skills, comfort engaging with large crowds, and the ability to remain on your feet and actively engage with fans throughout the game.

Key Responsibilities

Fan Engagement & Sales
  •  Sell 50/50 Raffle tickets throughout Penguins home games and actively engage with fans to encourage participation.
  •  Process credit card sales accurately using static kiosks and/or mobile handheld devices.
  •  Move throughout the concourse when operating a mobile device to maximize fan engagement and sales opportunities.
  •  Provide excellent customer service and respond to fan questions in a friendly and professional manner.
  •  Represent the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation positively and speak knowledgeably about its mission and initiatives.

Gameday Operations
  •  Arrive 30 minutes prior to doors opening and sell until the start of the 3rd Period.
    •  For example, this may be a 5:00 PM or 5:30 PM arrival time for a 7:00 PM game, depending upon the time doors open.
  •  Stand for extended periods and remain active throughout the game.
  •  Accurately reconcile kiosks and/or handheld devices throughout the game.
  •  Complete required training at the start of the season and, as necessary, throughout the season.
  •  Work independently or with an assigned partner to support the success of the 50/50 Raffle.

Professional Standards
  •  Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while working with fans, colleagues, and other arena personnel.
  • Absolutely no consumption of alcohol or tobacco while working.
  •  No eating or drinking while operating kiosks or managing handheld devices.
  •  Dress in casual business attire with comfortable shoes, as the position requires standing throughout the game. No blue jeans. If a uniform is required, it will be provided.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  •  Must be at least 18 years of age.
  •  Exceptional oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Personable, outgoing, and comfortable approaching and engaging with fans.
  •  Reliable and accountable with the ability to accurately handle credit card transactions and sales.
  •  Comfortable standing for extended periods and moving throughout the arena concourse.
  •  Must be available to work consistently throughout the season and for at least 60% of Penguins home games, including preseason, regular season, and playoff games.
  •  Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and certain holidays.
  •  Must pass a criminal background check.

Preferred Skills
  •  Prior sales or customer service experience is strongly preferred but not required.
  •  Passion for the Pittsburgh Penguins and interest in supporting the mission of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.

Additional Information
